The market for Business English in Prague is well developed. Business English students can choose from a range of options that include in-school courses, in-company courses, private lessons, and online providers. The top business English schools in Prague based upon a Google search returned the following:
The two schools that rise to the top are Kelly & Associates and Akcent International House Prague. Kelly Associates offers a wide array of specialized courses, focusing in on specific disciplines within financial services. Akcent's affiliation with International House means they have a lot of resources behind their service offering. Having worked for the Caledonian School, I can attest to the quality of their service as being above average to good. Overall, they treat their teachers well, while keeping a close eye on progress and quality. They also provide continuing education for teachers, which is important since most English teachers in Europe are very young and inexperienced. This inexperience is even more evident when it comes to teaching business English. The last two schools, SpeakSpeak and ESAC returned a low rank in my opinion. SpeakSpeak attempts woo students to a business English letter writing course by asking if you should end a letter with "yours faithfully or yours sincerely?" Ironically, both of these are incorrect for business correspondence in the United States. I don't think I would trust my business English education to SpeakSpeak. Lastly, ESAC appears to be offering advanced business English to college students. As an executive, I don't think I would care to be in classes with a group of children. LingoPass! offers a nice alternative to in-company and in-classroom business English courses. Wouldn't you rather learn from a native speaking U.S. executive who is also a teacher?
