The topic of my last discussion was the relationships between brothers and sisters. Whelene and Guiome were participating.

So we talked about our families. Whelene got one older sister, Mélanie, who is 22 and Guiome also got one older sister, Aurélia, who is 22 too. I got 3 little sisters, Camille, Marie-Sophie and Valentine, who are 18, 15 and almost 13.

The first question was : how would you describe your relation with your sister(s)/brother(s)? Guiome said that he had a good relation with his sister, telling us that they got no more time to fight or to be mad at each other because she was only at home during holidays and some week ends. Whelene said that she had a good relation with her sister, but also that they were really different so sometimes it was hard to be nice with each others. I added that I got a great relation with my little sisters, that we were really close to each others, and that sometimes we fought but that was normal between sisters.

After I asked them if they would like to have more sisters or brothers. Guiome answered that when he was younger he would have wanted to have a little brother to play with him, but that now he thinks the situation is better this way. Whelene said that if the others sisters could be like Mélanie, she wouldn't have more sisters because one is enough. And she added that she have never wanted to have a little sister or brother because she likes to be the youngest in the family. I said that I would not like to have more or less sisters because I think 4 girls is a really good number, an even number.

When I asked them if they thought it could be great to be an only child, we all agreed that it would be boring and sad to be the only children in our families. Guiome and Whelene agreed with the fact that if you are an only child, you cannot accuse your sister/brother when you made a stupidity.

Then I asked them if they tought that age differences could change relationships between brothers and sisters. We said that age differences could certainly change relation between sisters or bothers because when an old sister is really older than her sister/brother, she is less like a sister and more like a second mother or a nanny. Whelene gave the example of her mother, who was like a nanny for her younger brother.

To finish I asked them if they have ever been jealous or really mad at their sisters. Guiome said that he was once jealous of his sisters because she had video games that he wanted to have, and Whelene said that she was sometimes mad at her sister because she told her mean things. For example, Mélanie once enter Whelene's room, took a look at her clothes and said " oh that's true I cannot wear them because they're to big for me".

It was an interesting discussion, but we would have liked to have the opinion of someone who got a brother.

There still were sound problems, I often was forced to speak by chat because we didn't well hear each others.

This week's conversation was about superheroes. Whelene, Guiome, and I talked during almost forty-five minutes.

I asked them who was their favorite superheroes or superheroin and why. Guiome told me that he likes the X-men Team, and more particularly Wolverine, because his power was a kind of bad thing for him. Whelene told us that she also likes the X-men Team and I agreed with her opinion. I added that I really like Batman because he is a non-superpowerfull superheroe, as he got no superpowers, and also Spiderman because I think a man with spider's abilities is really interesting and cool.

I asked them then which powers they would like to have. Guiome would like to have the ability to become invisible, to steal things he said, and Whelene would like to have a lot a different powers, as Sabrina the Teenage Witch. I personaly would like, as Guiome, to have the ability to become invisible, but not in order to steal, and to use telepathy.

I also asked them which was their favorite superheroe movie. Whelene and Guiome both said that they really like the X-men triolgy, especially the first and the second movie. I said that I really like the last Batman movie, "The Dark Knight" and also the first Spiderman's one.

After I asked them who was their favorite villain. Whelene told us that she found the Joker very frightening, even if she has never seen a Batman movie, which suprised Guiome and I. Guiome said that he likes Spiderman's enemies as the Green Goblin, except Dr. Octopus that he found ridiculous. I said that the Batman's Pinguin was very frightening to me, because a pinguin man is very weird.

When I asked them if they thought the world would be better with superheroes to protect us, Guiome said that there will be no superheroe in France because they're all American. I said that it could be great for us, having someone protecting us, but it could also be a problem because there is always a moment when people don't like superheroes anymore because they think they act like criminals.

I finally asked them how they knew superheroes, and we all answered the same, saying that we discovered superheroes thanks to sunday morning cartoons on tv, like Batman or "The Justice League".

We had a lot of problems with the sound, we were always cut, we could not hear each others well and it was pretty hard to host the conversation with those sound problems.

For my second discussion I chose to talk about beauty.

Whelene and A_nda took part of the conversation, but only Whelene was talking because A_nda has no headset, so she listened to us during an hour.

Vicguiravi wanted to take part of the discussion too but he had not enough credits to so he waited that we had finished to invite us to talk with him in the lobby. 

Whelene and I began to talk about my topic, and more precisely about the negatives about being beautiful. We did agree with each other saying that people could judge beautiful person in a wrong way, thinking that she/he is stupid or only interested by her/his own good looking.

After we talked about what we find beautiful or not, and Whelene said that she doesn't like the punk style especially concerning the hair style, like mohawk. We talked about tatoo and piercing, agreeding that a little of them could be sexy but too much of them is really not good looking. We also said that playing music could make a boy very attractive, especially when he plays guitar or piano.

Then I asked her to give me the names of the most beautiful woman and the most beautiful man in the world in her opinion. She told me that Josh Duhamel is really gorgeous to her, and A_ndra writed us that she prefer Jude Law and we all agreed with her. She also writed that Monica Bellucci is one of the most beautiful women in the world, and I said that from my point of view it is Megan Fox and Beyonce.

We continued talking about relationships and Whelene told me that she thinks that beauty could change relationship between friends or sisters if you become jealous. We talked a little bit about our sisters and the way they look.

Then I asked her if she tought that beauty could help to succeed, and she answered that beauty can help but also be a bad thing because people might think that you have used of your physical attracts to succeed.

After the conversation was over, we talked with vicguiravi and A_nda in the lobby but not for a long time because we had to go.

• The discussion was almost 1 hour long and 5 guests took part of it (EnglishTeacher, Alipak, Freixo, Manolo and Vicguiravi).
• I started speaking with Freixo and Manolo. Freixo did not stay a long time so I talked with Manolo about the Academy Awards ans the functioning of the ceremony, and more precisely about a Peruvian Movie which is nominated this year. We also spoke about international and French cinema, trying to find famous names he could have known. Then Vicguiravi joined the conversation and we talked about last year ceremony and Spanish winners ans contestants.
• There were some problems with the sound as we were regularly cut. I was waiting for people who really know about the Academy Awards but it was not the case so sometimes it was not easy to talk about the chosen subjet. The conversation did not really go on the way I thought but it was very nice to speak with these person, they helped me all long with my conversation, asking questions and talking a lot.
